Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination based on sex in educational programs and activities that receive federal funding. This includes protection against sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, pregnancy discrimination, gender-based harassment, and retaliation.

We are committed to responding promptly and fairly to all reports while providing supportive measures and protecting the rights of everyone involved.

Reporting a Title IX Concern

AXL Academy encourages anyone who experiences or witnesses possible sex discrimination or sexual harassment to report the concern as soon as possible.

Reports may be submitted by:

Students
Parents or guardians
Employees
Volunteers
Community members

Reports may be made regardless of whether the incident occurred on campus if it affects a student's ability to participate in school programs or activities.

After receiving a report, AXL Academy will:

Review the information promptly
Contact the individuals involved
Offer supportive measures when appropriate
Determine whether a formal investigation is necessary
Follow all applicable federal regulations and school policies

Requesting supportive measures does not require filing a formal complaint.

Every member of the AXL Academy community has the right to learn and work in an environment free from sex discrimination and harassment.

Students, employees, parents, volunteers, applicants, and visitors are all protected under Title IX.

No individual will be excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or subjected to discrimination in any AXL Academy educational program or activity based on sex.

Training and Annual Notification

AXL Academy is committed to ongoing Title IX compliance through annual notification, staff training, and public access to required materials.

In accordance with federal regulations:

The Title IX Coordinator receives specialized training.

What are supportive measures?

Supportive measures are individualized services designed to help ensure continued access to education. These may include counseling referrals, schedule adjustments, academic support, no-contact directives, or other appropriate accommodations.

Will my report remain confidential?

AXL Academy will make every reasonable effort to protect your privacy while responding appropriately to reports and complying with applicable laws.

What happens after I submit a report?

The Title IX Coordinator will review the report, contact the appropriate individuals, discuss available supportive measures, and determine the next steps based on school policy and federal regulations.

Is retaliation prohibited?

Yes. Retaliation against anyone for reporting a concern, participating in an investigation, or exercising their rights under Title IX is strictly prohibited.

Can parents or guardians be involved?

Yes. Parents or guardians are encouraged to work with the school to support their student throughout the Title IX process when appropriate.
